Official employee-wage evidence · Transparent methodology

Modeled Freelance Benchmark

Use certified local employee-wage evidence where available, or a clearly labeled U.S.-anchored international reference for any supported freelancer country.

Employee-wage percentiles are not freelancer-rate percentiles and do not directly measure career stage.

Choose your country

Your country controls local-benchmark availability, local-source presentation, and display currency. It does not estimate your personal costs.

Controls approved local-benchmark availability, source presentation, and display currency. It does not estimate your taxes, expenses, cost of living, or personal minimum.

These details can help you think about your quote, but they do not change the underlying wage benchmark.

Methodology boundaries

  • The 98-core catalog includes the approved Accountant, Bookkeeper, Lawyer / Legal Consultant, and Paralegal / Legal Assistant splits; Compliance Officer remains unmapped.
  • Official employee-wage values and TransparentRate's modeled freelance planning benchmarks remain separate.
  • Context Only local records are secondary references and Unsupported or suppressed records remain unavailable.
  • The provisional `1.75` coefficient is applied once. The former `1.30` target multiplier is removed.
  • Acquisition channel and project conditions provide guidance only and never alter the benchmark.
  • PPP and Client Country are absent. All 157 previously supported countries remain selectable; countries without certified local data receive a separately labeled U.S.-anchored international reference.
  • UK ASHE 2025 is provisional; record-level CV and missing-percentile warnings remain visible, and revised 2025 data requires a refresh.
  • Canadian record-specific vintages and native annual units are preserved. When CBS does not publish a wage cell, local wage data is unavailable and the technical reason remains visible in the result.
  • Australia preserves ABS May 2025 weekly means and RSE cautions; Germany preserves BA December 2024 monthly medians, requirement levels, suppression and lower-bound qualifiers; Sweden preserves SCB 2025 monthly salary dispersion and unavailable cells.
  • Weekly and monthly sources remain in their official native periods. They are never silently converted to hourly values or compared to the hourly U.S.-anchored reference as if the units matched.
