1. Information We Collect

TransparentRate is designed to be privacy-respecting. Calculator arithmetic runs in your browser. We collect only the limited product events described below so we can understand which supported countries and occupations are useful.

We do not require accounts, collect names, or store personal information beyond what's described below.

1.1 Usage Data

When you visit TransparentRate, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of visit. This data is used for operational purposes and security monitoring, not for tracking individual users.

1.2 Calculator Usage Events

The calculator sends a small first-party event when the page is viewed, a supported country or occupation is selected, a calculation succeeds, a calculation attempt is missing a required selection, or source details are expanded. An event may contain the two-letter country code, public TransparentRate core-occupation ID, a privacy-safe resolved alias slug, benchmark position, result evidence status, one of two fixed error codes (occupation_required or invalid_country), event name, and analytics release version.

We do not send raw search text, personal-minimum amounts, fee percentages, project-condition inputs, the calculated amount, names, email addresses, cookies, advertising identifiers, user IDs, session IDs, full URLs, or referrers in these analytics events. An unsupported free-text entry is never transmitted. Events are written to a first-party Cloudflare Analytics Engine dataset and are used as aggregate product counts.

1.3 Contact Inquiries

If you contact us via email, we receive the information you choose to share (your email address and message content). We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any marketing list.

2. Cookies

TransparentRate analytics does not set first-party cookies. The calculator and all site features function without an analytics cookie or persistent analytics identifier.

2.1 Third-Party Cookies (Advertising)

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. These cookies allow Google and its partners to show you more relevant ads.

• Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on your browsing history.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

3. How We Use Information

• To operate and maintain the website
• To respond to your inquiries and support requests
• To monitor site performance and security
• To prioritize supported countries, occupations, source explanations, and future pages using aggregate calculator events
• To display contextual and/or personalized advertisements via Google AdSense

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Our site uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and DNS services. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs.
• Cloudflare Analytics Engine — stores the restricted first-party calculator event fields listed above. The analytics dataset does not store IP addresses, user-agent strings, referrers, cookies, user IDs, or session IDs.
• Google AdSense (when active) — for displaying advertisements. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's Advertising Privacy & Terms.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal data, these requests will typically be straightforward.

For EEA/UK users: you may have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.

For California residents: you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion.

6. Data Retention

Cloudflare Analytics Engine deletes source event datapoints after three months. TransparentRate does not copy raw event rows into a longer-lived store. Weekly and monthly reports contain aggregate counts only; country, occupation, and error groups with fewer than five events are combined as “other.” Server logs follow Cloudflare's applicable operational retention. Contact inquiries are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request. We do not maintain user accounts, analytics profiles, or cross-visit identifiers.

7. Children's Privacy

TransparentRate is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
